Youth of
today are constantly bombarded by television, radio, peer pressure,
and a popular culture that does not reflect healthy Christian
Principals. The Dumont Reformed Church strives to provide all
youth a sanctuary of reprieve from such negative influence. At
the time of Baptism the Congregation takes an oath to be members of an
extended Christian Family. We offer many programs from
preschool, till high school graduation, that seek to raise children
who early in life will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
Programs
Sunday School &
Catechism are important elements of our congregation’s life.
Our classes may be small, but they are led by faithful men and women
who love the Lord, The Bible, and their students. We have Sunday
School classes for all ages from preschool up through adults. Sunday
School meets at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday morning. The Catechism classes
are for 3rd-8th grades and it meets Wednesday
evenings at 7:00 p.m. September through January.
After School Outreach
and Bible Club is a ministry to the community school children
of all ages. It consists of bible lessons, prayer, fun, fellowship,
and mentoring/tutoring students in the area of “3R’s” and other
skills.
Summer Vacation Bible
School is a joint ministry with the Dumont Methodist Church to
all the children of Dumont and the surrounding area.
Reformed Church
Youth Fellowship is a dynamic Sr. High youth group/ministry
that holds weekly meetings on Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:30, September
through May. The ‘RCYF’ Weekly meetings involve a time of business &
planning, a time of practical Biblical lessons on crucial topics in
teen’s lives. The ‘RCYF’ also holds special fundraisers and are
involved in various service & mission projects. Rocky Mountain High
is a great Christian Youth Evangelism/Training/Fellowship event that
comes around once every three years.
